Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of SynapseX — the chat, the API platform, the desktop and CLI applications, and the quantum lab — operated by SoftQuantus. By creating an account or using the services, you agree to them.

1. Accounts

You need an account to use most of the services. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your credentials confidential. You must provide accurate account information and be legally able to enter into these terms.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• break the law, or use the services to help someone else break it;
• attack, probe, or overload our infrastructure or other users' workloads, or attempt to bypass metering, quotas, or access controls;
• attempt to forge, alter, or misrepresent evidence records produced by the platform;
• resell the services without a written agreement with us.

We may suspend or limit access to protect the platform or other users while we investigate suspected violations.

3. Credits and billing

Paid usage is metered in prepaid credits. One credit corresponds to $0.01. Before a paid run starts, the platform shows an estimate; credits are reserved up front and settle to actual usage when the run finishes. Unused reserves are released back to your balance — there are no silent over-charges.

Credits are a prepaid metering unit, not money. They are non-transferable, have no cash value, and cannot be redeemed for currency except where the law requires otherwise.

4. Beta and early-access features

Some features are explicitly marked beta or early access — currently including the desktop and CLI applications (beta), partner QPU adapters (early access), and the SynapseX model family (early access, working names). These features may change, misbehave, or be withdrawn without the notice period that applies to generally available features. Do not rely on them for production workloads unless you accept that risk.

5. Your content

You keep the rights to the inputs you submit and the outputs of your runs. You grant us the license needed to operate the services — to execute your jobs, store your results, and show them back to you. Our use of your data is described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Disclaimers

The services are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Model outputs and simulation results can be wrong; you are responsible for validating results before relying on them.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising out of or relating to the services is limited to the amounts you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost data.

8. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will give notice — by email or in the product — before the new terms take effect. Continuing to use the services after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.

9. Termination

You can stop using the services and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms; where reasonable, we will notify you and give you the chance to export your data. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including limitations of liability — survive it.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of SoftQuantus's place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
