Responsible Use
Effective date: 2026-08-05
This policy has two halves: what we commit to, and what we prohibit. The commitments are the platform's house rules, wired into how runs execute — not aspirations.
1. Our commitments
- Guards fail closed. When a limit check, budget check, or safety check cannot complete, the run is refused rather than waved through.
- Estimate before spend. No paid run starts without a cost estimate shown first. Credits are reserved up front and settle to actual usage; unused reserves auto-release.
- Human approval above your budget envelope. Agents operate inside the budget you set. Any action that would exceed it stops and asks a human.
- Cheapest capable probe first. The platform routes work to the least expensive resource that can answer the question before escalating to costlier hardware.
2. Prohibited uses
You may not use SynapseX to:
- abuse, harass, or defraud others, or to break the law;
- attack our infrastructure or other tenants' workloads — including probing, overloading, or attempting to bypass metering, quotas, or access controls;
- attempt to forge, alter, or misrepresent evidence records, or present a record as covering a run it does not cover.
We may suspend access to protect the platform and its users while we investigate suspected violations.
3. Evidence integrity
Execution records on SynapseX are sealed: each record carries a Merkle SHA-256 root computed over its contents. A sealed record is tamper-evident — changing any byte of it breaks verification. Sealing is a hash commitment over the record's contents: it proves integrity and reproducibility, and that is exactly what we claim for it — no more.
If a result cannot carry its evidence, we don't call it a result.
4. Export and sanctions
You must comply with applicable export-control and sanctions laws when using the services, and you may not use them from, or for the benefit of, embargoed parties where that would violate those laws.
5. Reports
